  • The paper ‘Ride-sharing systems with hierarchical pickup and drop-off points’, co-authored with Francisco Vilches and Cristian Cortés, was awarded as the best paper presented by a young researcher, Francisco Vilches, at the Chilean Conference of Transport Engineering. Congrats to Francisco! (October 2023).
  • Valentina Gómez, co-supervised with Sergio Jara-Díaz, has successfully defended her MSc thesis on the ‘Development of new heuristics to design public transport networks’. Her impressive work was qualified with a 7.0, the maximum mark in the Chilean system (October 2023).
  • Two of my MSc students are presenting the results of their theses at the Chilean Conference of Transport Engineering. Francisco Vilches, co-supervised with Cristian Cortes, is presenting ‘Ride-sharing systems with hierarchical pickup and drop-off points’, and Matías Salinas, co-supervised with Alejandro Tirachini, is presenting ‘A proposal to integrate on-demand services in Punta Arenas’ (October 2023).
