Amir Elmi: I’m Amir and I’m currently a Ph.D. student in Transportation Engineering at the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney. My main research is about ridesharing systems and I’m interested in Public Transportation, Smart Cities, Optimization and Simulation, and any AI related subjects.
Thesis: Analysing different measures to reduce unreliability in ridesharing systems.
Valentina Gómez: Besides being a PhD student, I hold an MSc in Applied Mathematics and a degree in Mathematical Civil Engineering from Universidad de Chile. My research interests are in public transport network design, but I’m also into applied projects involving linear optimisation and multidisciplinary work.
Thesis: The price of anarchy in public transport networks.
Regine Tejada: I am Regine, a Ph.D. Student at the School of Civil Engineering, University of Sydney. I earned a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman. My research interests include active and public transport, network and assignment models, and other production systems.
Thesis: Assessing the users’ perceptions and impact of integrating cycling and public transport in a developing country.
Ricardo Wang: B.Eng Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Current research interest is on-demand ride-pooling system optimization. Other personal instersts includes film photography, snowboarding, trekking, drums.
Thesis: Optimizing anticipating strategies in ride-pooling algorithms with machine learning methods.
